Teach For India Fellowship 2017
Two-year, full-time paid fellowship in which promising graduates and professionals are placed as full-time teachers in under-resourced and low-income schools in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. Fellows will have to teach children from Class II to VIII.
Eligibility: Graduates and professionals.
Application: Online only.
Prizes and rewards: A monthly stipend of Rs. 17,500 and housing allowance ranging from Rs. 5,500 to Rs. 10,000.

Dr. Ambedkar Foundation National Essay Competition Scheme
The aim of the competition is to encourage writing on social issues, among the school and college students and arouse their interest in Dr.Ambedkar’s thoughts on fundamental social issues. This year’s topics include Ambedkar’s views on nation and nationalism and the personality of Dr. B.R Ambedkar, his social environment, his education or western thoughts. Those interested have to write an essay on any one topic in either Hindi or English.
Eligibility: Two categories: Class IX to XII school students and college students.

Prizes and rewards: Twelve winning essays will receive a cash prize of Rs.10,000 to 1 lakh and citations.

Internshala Career Scholarship for Girls 2017
This is an academic scholarship with an objective to recognise a girl who has fought against all odds to pursue a career of her dreams in any field (academics, sports, arts, and so on).
Eligibility: Any girl between the age of 17 and 23 years with a career objective.

Prizes and rewards: Cash prize of Rs. 25,000

Guidelines for the Essay Writing
- The essay can be written in Hindi or English Language.
- The essay should be 3500 words for students of colleges, university, and Institutions.
- The essay should be of 2000 words for school students.
- There should be no plagiarism in the essay as it will lead to disqualification.
Submission of Essay
Participants should send two clean typed copies (one original & another photocopy) of the essay. One copy should include name, address, topic, language, e-mail, phone no. etc. with the signature of the participant, while the other copy need not show any such particulars.
Relevant information like name, e-mail address, postal address, institution, course and year of study, etc. of the student participant should be indicated in the covering letter and strictly not in the essay.
Along with their entries, participants should also send in their bonafide certificate from the institutions recognizing that they are students of that institution.
The candidates must mention on the top of the envelope “Dr Ambedkar Foundation National Essay Competition- 2018” and send the entries in person or with registered / Speed post to the following address:
